It is a common misconception that the JZA80 Supra is a straight line only car. Quite the contrary. In my opinion it was designed as a sports-GT that just happens to be popular in drag racing. But for now, my budget does not allow me to follow Toyota's intention for this car -road racing. It is simply to large of an investment to end up like this.  To date, my fastest and quickest time is 12.36 @ 119.64 mph, not too bad for an automagic Supra on street tires. Hopefully with a little more practice, cooler weather, and my BFG drag radials, I can whittle that time down to the low 12- or high 11-second range or become a member of the 120.00 mph club. I had a good run, neck and neck, with Peter Farrell's turbocharged IS300 until he barely pulled me at the big end.
